So this sixty one year old Australian artist got an ear implanted onto his arm. He's going to get microphones implanted in it soon. What if you came home for thanks giving and your dad had gone through this midlife crisis and instead of getting a motorcycle or tattoo or running of with some way younger women he had gotten an ear put on his arm. I mean all the cool kids in NYC are doing it these days, third ears are all over bedford ave. thsese days. Anyway I mean Orlan has been chopping herself up in the name of "art" for years, but maybe they haven't heard of that in the Outback. I mean if you haven't made it in the art world by the time your sixty one I doubt an ear is going to help, Van Gogh tried it but we all know how that turned out. I wonder if he will get an earing on it?
Anyway here is the link: Crazy Ears!

Graffiti Archaeology: Site to see!
This site archives a number of different well know graff spots, and it uses what more or less is a really nice flash interface to do it. Cool idea. Cool Graff. Cool Flash. Check it out.

Cobra Commander!

This snake, entrusted by a London boutique to guard a pair of diamond encrusted sandals (worth way to much to wear them on the beach) and will "attack anything that moves".
Pretty crazy. Super analog security system.
Anderson Cooper tells it like it is (also he is reporting on this fashion snake from Iraq with a hummer in the background, American priorities once again hard at work).

Art gets out of control

Sometimes the advent of video as an easy to use in exspensive technology makes good things. Some times it makes bad things. Some times it just makes things. Scary things. Forest Gump on acid things.

kids with tools likes stop motion.

Once I had an idea to create a series of performances utilizing people to recreate video games in real life. Don't steal this idea because I will still do it. Then I saw this a realized that someone else had also had this similar idea, and made some very nice little animations. I can still do it in real life though, I have that idea copywrited. But you should watch their videos they are top notch material.

kids with tools likes flash websites.
So finally finally finally the kids with tools flash site is almost ready for official launch. It is in the last stages of debugging online, so hopefully should be all worked out by tomorrow or wednesday. Amazing it has been like well a million years in the makes, but at least three months or so on these particular designs and developements. But after a marathon week and a half of coding and debugging 800+ lines of actionscript almost all the kinks are worked out. There will be a mass email or something when it is totally ready to go!

kids with tools likes teeshirt models and Lucas

Well to start things off this post is all about you, and by you a mean the wonderful wonderful people who went out in the cold a few weeks ago wearing only teeshirts to let Lucas take photos of them. It started snowing. Basically is was a great photoshoot. All you who modeled thank you so much for taking time out of you busy live to become indie-art-model-rock stars, like american apparel models with less 70s porn style. Lucas thanks for all your help! So kids the website is in the tail end of flash developement and should be done (cross your fingers) by next friday. Hurray! Kids with tools likes that.
